Frequently Asked Questions

What is a brushless DC grooming dryer? A brushless DC dryer controls its motor electronically rather than relying on carbon brushes. That means there are no carbon brushes to replace and no carbon dust generated as those brushes wear.

Does Alpha run on a standard North American outlet? Alpha operates at 120V/60Hz and approximately 10A. It can be used with standard North American electrical service, but available circuit capacity depends on other equipment sharing that circuit.

Does Alpha include a heating element? No. Alpha is a high-velocity airflow dryer without a dedicated heating element. Some groomers prefer this for heat-sensitive dogs, warm salons and mobile environments. Groomers who require added heat should consider that distinction before purchasing.

Can Alpha handle double-coated dogs? Alpha has been tested in working salons on dense, double-coated breeds. Its latest hose and nozzle system provides up to 30% more nozzle airflow than the original Alpha.

Can Alpha be serviced in Canada?

Yes. Rover's Edge is a Canadian company, and Alpha is supported and serviceable in Canada.
